Kitchen Reveal!

Our kitchen has to be our favorite room in our house. Before it was hideous and now it's so funky and neat! We started off with a kitchen that looked like this:

We painted the kitchen walls, painted the kitchen cabinets, installed a back splash, and even painted the window trim white b/c it was a hideous shade of tan before.

Here are some in progress pictures:

one more time.... before & after (in progress)

  1. Awesome job. It doesn't even look like the same kitchen. We just installed a back splash last weekend and plan to paint the cabinets soon.

  3. Hello! Visiting from BetterAfter. Very nicely done - the same color scheme I want to do in my kitchen. Hard to tell from your pictures...what is the color on your walls? Is it a blue? Grey? Blue grey? What is the paint color please.

Congrats and enjoy your new kitchen! Gorgeous!

    1. Thank you! The wall color was Glidden Slate Green. But it really has no green in it, it is a blueish gray. Depends on what time of the day you look at it. Sometimes it is light blue, gray, blue gray, greenish, etc... We LOVE it!

  5. Great, I recently painted my kitchen walls the same color when we got new window with white trim and I have been comtemplating using the rustoleuom cabinet transformation kit and black is what I wanted to paint. Your pic helps me know that it would look great. Thanks!!!!!!!

    1. Yes, we sanded them! The first thing we did after removing the knobs was clean them due to the grease and grim build-up. Then, we sanded them and cleaned them again and then primed them with an oil-based primer and then put about 3 coats of water based paint on them. They are holding up great so far!
